Design Works, Ltd. is a full service interior design firm owned by Pamela Marie Meyer.
I started Design Works Ltd. back in Delmar, NY, after studying interior design at Russel Sage College. I fell in love with the fabrics, the colors, the shapes and how putting all the elements together can create a brand new space! Before I could find a job with a design firm, I had someone ask me to create some draperies. I thought "I have a client; maybe I should start my own business." I love working directly with clients, letting my creativity flow to give them even more than they expected, so I decided to give it a whirl. That was in 1979 and I haven't looked back. The smile on my clients' faces just energizes me to keep turning their "ugly ducklings" into swans over and over again!

Interview
The first step for any design project is an in depth interview where I listen carefully to what the clients says. Together we develop the scope of the project, the budget perimeters and vision.
Design
With that in hand, I create a design to delight my clients. I bring 30+ years of experience to the table pulling all the moving parts together from subcontractor negotiations, to ordering furniture and other elements, to all the finishing touches that make each project unique.
Enjoy
Over the years, my primary focus has been on creating homes that have a sense of place, that highlight the architecture of the building and honor the sensibilities of each owner. I love taking a perceived problem and turning it into something wonderful that brings pure delight to my clients!
